First seen May 01, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study surveys 200 healthcare professionals (doctors, nurses, and students) to find out which techniques they use when removing a breathing tube after a patient has been on a ventilator. The goal is to describe current practices, since there is no clear agreement on the best method. The study does not involve any treatment for patients, only observation of what clinicians do.
