Heart rhythm battle: does more ablation mean better results?

NCT ID NCT07424326

Summary

This study compares two approaches to heart ablation for people with persistent atrial fibrillation (AF), a common irregular heart rhythm. Researchers want to see if adding extra ablation lines to the standard procedure works better at keeping the heart in normal rhythm. The trial will involve 450 participants who will be randomly assigned to receive either the standard procedure or the more extensive version, then followed for one year to track their heart rhythm.
