Alzheimer's Anti-Inflammation trial halted early – no breakthrough

NCT ID NCT04795466

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study tested whether anti-inflammatory drugs could help people with early Alzheimer's or mild cognitive impairment. The trial was stopped early, so only one drug was tested in 34 participants. The goal was to see if the drug improved thinking and memory, but the early end means we have limited results. This is not a cure, and more research is needed.
