Nose injection could offer days of relief from migraine and cluster headaches
NCT ID NCT04930887
First seen May 03, 2026 · Last updated May 07, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests whether a single injection of a long-lasting numbing medicine (Exparel) into the side of the nose can reduce craniofacial pain, including migraine and cluster headaches. About 15 adults who get temporary relief from a standard numbing spray will receive either the injection or a placebo, then switch groups. The goal is to see if the injection provides better pain relief and fewer symptoms like nausea or light sensitivity.
