Can a High-Tech leg brace help seniors feel less tired?
NCT ID NCT07359573
First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study tests whether a lightweight leg exoskeleton called Exoband can reduce tiredness during daily tasks like walking, stair climbing, and crouching. Fifteen healthy adults aged 65 and older will perform these activities with and without the device. Researchers will measure perceived exertion, muscle activity, and heart rate to see if the exoskeleton makes movement easier.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
- Active substance
- Exoband (Moveo) passive lower-limb exoskeleton
- What this could lead to
- If it works, this could point toward a simple wearable device that helps older adults feel less tired during everyday activities like walking and climbing stairs.
- What could go wrong
- This is a very small, early-stage study with only 15 healthy older adults. The exoskeleton may not help everyone, and results may not apply to those with health conditions.
