Gut bacteria pill aims to break vicious cycle of deadly diarrhea

Summary
This early-stage trial is testing a new probiotic pill called EXL01. It aims to prevent dangerous C. difficile infections from coming back in patients who are at high risk of recurrence. The study will compare the pill to a placebo in 56 patients to see if it's safe and if it can stop the infection from returning within 8 weeks.
