First seen Jan 02, 2026 · Last updated Jun 05, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This study looked at whether people with chronic lung disease who experience low oxygen during exercise can walk just as far without extra oxygen as with it. Forty adults with stable lung disease completed a 6-minute walk test both on room air and on low-flow nasal oxygen. The goal was to see if skipping oxygen during exercise is a safe and effective option.
