Scientists test if exercise can stop muscle loss from popular Weight-Loss drugs
NCT ID NCT07457437
Summary
This study is testing whether a strength training program can help women keep their muscle mass while they lose weight using the medication tirzepatide. Researchers will recruit 60 overweight or obese women aged 25-50 and give them tirzepatide. Half will also follow a supervised, 20-week strength training program to see if it protects their muscles better than the medication alone.
