Scientists swap exercise for couch time to unlock secrets of aging
NCT ID NCT06377254
Summary
This study aims to understand how physical activity and inactivity affect the body and brain as people age. Researchers will ask 40 middle-aged adults to either increase their exercise to recommended levels or decrease their activity to match the average sedentary person for six months. They will measure fitness, strength, body composition, brain function, and take tissue samples to see how different activity levels impact overall health.
