First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated Jun 12, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study looked at 16 young female dentists to see how a single session of either high-intensity resistance exercise or whole-body electrical muscle stimulation affects markers of bone formation and breakdown. The goal was to find a time-saving way to help prevent bone loss in this group. Researchers measured changes in blood markers right before and 15 minutes after each session.
