Breaking the fall cycle: simple home workouts aim to protect seniors after hip breaks

NCT ID NCT04748354

Summary

This study tested whether a simple home exercise program could help prevent future falls in older adults who have memory concerns and recently broke a hip from a fall. Researchers compared the exercise program to usual care in 60 participants over six months. The goal was to see if the exercises could improve balance, strength, and confidence to reduce the risk of another serious fall.
