First seen Jun 16, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 16, 2026

Summary

This study measured how a single session of resistance training, with or without static stretching, affects heart workload and muscle recovery in 28 healthy men. Participants were assigned to rest, exercise only, or exercise plus stretching. The researchers checked heart rate, blood pressure, and muscle oxygen levels before, right after, and 30 minutes after the session to understand short-term recovery patterns.
