Video exercise program may turn back the clock for veterans with HIV
NCT ID NCT04103593
Summary
This study tested whether a 12-week, high-intensity exercise program delivered by video could slow down the accelerated aging process seen in older Veterans living with HIV. Researchers enrolled 89 Veterans over age 50 with stable HIV to see if the no-equipment circuit training could improve fitness, reduce inflammation, and positively affect biological markers of aging. The goal was to develop an accessible exercise program to help Veterans maintain their independence and quality of life.
