Simple home workouts and protein shakes tested to stop senior falls
NCT ID NCT03417531
Summary
This study tested whether a simple home exercise program and protein supplements, alone or combined, could help prevent falls in older adults at risk of muscle loss and frailty. It involved 801 seniors who were already showing some signs of weakness or had experienced a recent fall. Researchers measured how often participants fell over 12 months to see if these practical, at-home interventions made a difference.
