Can exercise and protein shakes fight frailty in seniors?
NCT ID NCT02912130
Summary
This study tested whether a 16-week program of exercise and protein supplements could help older adults with age-related muscle loss (sarcopenia). Researchers enrolled 110 inactive seniors aged 60-90 to see if the combined approach could improve their muscle mass, strength, physical function, and overall quality of life. The goal was to find a practical strategy to help manage this common condition of aging.
