Can 12 weeks of diet and exercise rebuild muscle in aging adults?

NCT ID NCT07028294

Summary

This study tested a 12-week program combining exercise and nutrition for older adults (65-90 years) who have both muscle loss (sarcopenia) and metabolic syndrome. The goal was to see if this program could improve strength, physical performance, and quality of life. Researchers measured outcomes like chair stand speed, walking speed, muscle mass, and daily activity ability at the start, after 12 weeks, and again at 24 weeks.
