Can a 12-Week fitness and diet plan rebuild muscle in aging adults?

NCT ID NCT04948736

Summary

This study tested whether a 12-week program combining specific exercises and nutritional support could improve muscle strength and physical function in older adults diagnosed with sarcopenia (age-related muscle loss) and metabolic syndrome. It compared this combined program to standard medical care in 168 participants across multiple centers. Researchers measured changes in strength, walking speed, muscle mass, and quality of life to see if the program was effective.
