Can exercise before surgery help women feel better during breast cancer treatment?
NCT ID NCT01516190
Summary
This study looks at whether exercise and mind-body programs can help women feel better emotionally during the stressful time between breast cancer diagnosis and surgery. Researchers enrolled 49 women with early-stage breast cancer to participate in 3-6 week programs before their operations. They measured changes in stress, anxiety, mood, and quality of life, and also examined whether these programs affect certain markers in breast cancer cells and blood hormones.
