Exercise eases breast cancer side effects: new study

Summary

This study tests whether a tailored exercise program can reduce arm swelling (lymphedema) and nerve pain (peripheral neuropathy) in women treated for breast cancer. Thirty participants will do general and arm-specific exercises, and researchers will measure changes in symptoms and quality of life before and after the program. The goal is to show that targeted physical therapy can help survivors recover better.
