First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study looks at whether high-intensity interval training (HIIT) or moderate continuous exercise works better for women with lipedema, a condition causing painful fat buildup in the legs. About 69 women will do one of three programs—HIIT, moderate walking, or home walking—along with compression therapy. The goal is to see which approach best reduces leg swelling, improves daily function, and boosts quality of life.
