Can lifting weights faster protect your new kidney?

NCT ID NCT07370727

Summary

This study is testing whether the speed at which people lift weights affects their kidney health after a transplant. Researchers will compare fast, explosive lifting to slower, controlled lifting over 12 weeks. The goal is to see if one type of exercise is better at helping maintain kidney function and improving markers of heart and metabolic health in transplant recipients who must continue taking their anti-rejection medications.
