Can fast lifting help seniors with failing kidneys move better?

NCT ID NCT06738394

Summary

This small pilot study aims to see if a 12-week program of fast-paced, low-weight strength training is safe and practical for older adults with advanced kidney disease. Researchers will compare the exercise program to a healthy lifestyle education group. The main goal is to gather initial information on whether this type of training can improve muscle power and physical function, like walking and standing up, to plan a larger future study.
