Pump iron, lift mood: new study tests weight training as depression treatment

Summary
This study tests whether resistance exercise (like weight lifting) can reduce symptoms of major depression. Two hundred adults with depression will do either a high or low dose exercise program for 16 weeks. Researchers will measure changes in mood and brain blood flow to see if exercise works and how.
