Summary

This study looks at whether resistance exercise (like weight lifting) can reduce symptoms of major depression. Two hundred adults with depression will do either a high or low dose of resistance training for 16 weeks. Researchers will measure changes in mood, thinking, and blood flow in the brain to see if exercise works and how.
