Study tests if home workouts can sharpen minds of young cancer survivors
NCT ID NCT02153957
Summary
This study tested whether a 12-week home exercise program could help improve memory and attention in children who had radiation therapy for a brain tumor. Researchers enrolled 36 children, ages 8 to 17, who were at least one year past treatment and had reported thinking or memory problems. The children were split into two groups to compare the effects of the structured exercise program against their usual daily activities.
