Scientists push teen girls to exhaustion to see what happens in their blood

NCT ID NCT07103889

Summary

This study aimed to understand how a single, exhausting workout affects the body differently in normal-weight and overweight/obese teenage girls. Researchers had 35 girls perform a tough, progressive running test until they were exhausted. They took blood samples before, right after, and 30 minutes after the test to measure changes in things like blood sugar, cholesterol, inflammation markers, and muscle enzymes.
