New study tests if lifestyle changes can tame irregular heartbeat

NCT ID NCT07430007

Summary

This study is testing whether a personalized 12-month program of exercise and dietary changes can help reduce episodes of atrial fibrillation (AFib) in overweight and obese adults who have this common heart rhythm disorder. Researchers will compare the program to usual medical care to see if it lowers the amount of time spent in AFib, improves symptoms, and reduces fat around the heart. The goal is to see if lifestyle changes can be an effective part of managing AFib.
