Summary

This study tests whether personalized exercise coaching can reduce fatigue and improve quality of life in children with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Seventy children will be split into two groups based on their current exercise habits and will follow a 24-week program with a health smartwatch. Researchers will measure changes in fatigue, quality of life, and disease severity using standard questionnaires.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance
personalized exercise coaching
What this could lead to
If it works, this could show that tailored physical activity helps children with IBD feel less tired and have a better quality of life.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-stage study with only 70 participants, so results may not apply to all children with IBD. The exercise program may be too demanding for some kids.
