Can a 12-Week workout boost your brain and gut?
NCT ID NCT05397990
Summary
This study aimed to understand if regular exercise can improve memory and mood in healthy middle-aged adults, and whether changes in gut bacteria play a role. 52 participants, aged 45-65 who did not exercise regularly, were assigned to either a 12-week group exercise program or asked to continue their normal habits. Researchers measured memory, mood, fitness, and analyzed participants' gut bacteria and blood to look for connections.
