Scientists probe how a workout repairs your Body's plumbing
NCT ID NCT04087655
Summary
This study aims to understand exactly how exercise training improves the function of tiny blood vessels in the muscles of people with obesity and metabolic syndrome. Researchers will study 25 sedentary adults, using specialized techniques to measure chemical signals and blood flow in the leg muscle before and after an 8-week aerobic exercise program. The goal is to learn the biological mechanisms so better treatments can be developed in the future.
