Why exercise might not help the heart in some lung disease patients
NCT ID NCT03774238
Summary
This study aimed to understand why exercise training, a key part of rehabilitation for COPD (chronic lung disease), might not improve blood vessel health as effectively in some patients. Researchers compared 69 people—some with COPD and some healthy—measuring blood vessel function before and after a 4-week exercise program. The goal was to learn which biological factors explain the differences in how people's blood vessels respond to exercise.
