Scientists probe why exercise helps heart and lung patients
NCT ID NCT02966665
Summary
This study aims to understand how blood flow to muscles is controlled in healthy people and in those with conditions like COPD, heart failure, and high blood pressure. Researchers will measure blood flow in the arms and legs before and after giving specific drugs or having participants do handgrip exercises. The goal is to learn the basic mechanisms behind how exercise benefits vascular health, which could inform future rehabilitation strategies.
