Scientists probe if exercise can rewire asthma genes
NCT ID NCT06776315
Summary
This study looked at whether adding special breathing muscle training to standard asthma rehab programs provides extra benefits. Researchers compared two groups of 84 adults with severe asthma to see if the training improved fitness, breathing, strength, and quality of life. A key goal was to see if these exercises caused any changes in specific genes related to asthma, which could help guide future treatments.
