New hope for Tough-to-Treat schizophrenia: experimental drug enters final testing phase

NCT ID NCT07184619

Summary

This study is testing whether adding a new drug called evenamide helps people with schizophrenia when their current antipsychotic medications aren't working well enough. About 400 adults whose schizophrenia hasn't responded to standard treatments will take either evenamide or a placebo pill for 12 weeks, while continuing their regular medication. Researchers will measure changes in symptoms, side effects, and how well people function in daily life.
