First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 35 times

Summary

This study aims to see if a special ultrasound done through an endoscope (EUS-SWE) can accurately measure liver scarring (fibrosis) in people with fatty liver disease. About 300 adults will get the new ultrasound, a standard liver biopsy, and a FibroScan. The goal is to find out if the new method can replace the need for a needle biopsy.
