New needle treatment could zap pancreatic cysts before they turn cancerous
NCT ID NCT07529483
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests a procedure that uses a thin, flexible tube with a camera and ultrasound to guide a needle into pancreatic cysts. Chemotherapy drugs are injected directly into the cyst to shrink or destroy precancerous cells. The goal is to prevent these cysts from developing into pancreatic cancer, a deadly disease often caught too late. About 35 adults with pancreatic cysts at least 1 cm in size will participate.
