First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether etanercept, a drug that blocks inflammation, can reduce the severity of tinnitus (ringing in the ears) caused by blast or noise exposure or traumatic brain injury. About 88 adults with moderate to severe tinnitus will receive either the drug or a placebo injection. The main goal is to see if the drug improves tinnitus-related distress and daily function.
