Scientists probe hidden link between menopause and rising heart risk

NCT ID NCT06369363

Summary

This early research study aims to understand how low estrogen levels after menopause might increase a woman's risk for heart disease. Researchers will measure blood pressure, nerve activity, and inflammation markers in 20 healthy postmenopausal women. The goal is to gather basic knowledge to help design future strategies for protecting heart health in women who cannot take estrogen therapy.
