First seen Nov 15, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study looks at how estrogen and hormonal birth control affect bone health in adolescent and young adult women with cystic fibrosis (CF). It has two parts: an observational study that follows participants for a year, and a small sub-study where volunteers use estrogen skin patches. Researchers will measure bone density, blood markers, and quality of life to see if estrogen can help protect bones.
