Paradoxical treatment: giving estrogen to fight Estrogen-Resistant breast cancer
NCT ID NCT05716516
Summary
This study is testing whether giving estradiol (a form of estrogen) can help control advanced breast cancer that has stopped responding to standard hormone treatments. The trial will enroll 36 post-menopausal women with metastatic breast cancer who have tried at least one prior hormone therapy. Researchers want to see if patients with specific genetic changes in their cancer respond better to this counterintuitive approach.
