Summary
This study looked at whether treating gum disease (periodontitis) can reduce the severity of rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Researchers enrolled 22 adults with both conditions. They compared standard RA care plus gum treatment to RA care alone. The goal was to see if gum treatment could lower RA disease activity scores.
