First seen Apr 03, 2026 · Last updated May 09, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study compares two quick interventions—a single esketamine infusion or a one-session crisis planning talk—against standard care to prevent suicide in 468 people aged 14+ who recently attempted suicide or have severe suicidal thoughts. Participants will be followed for one year to see which approach reduces suicide attempts, hospitalizations, and deaths. The goal is to find practical, fast-acting options for public emergency settings.
