Summary
This study tested special safety kits for children with autism who tend to wander or run away from safe places. Caregivers of 65 children aged 4 to 11 used the kits and rated how helpful each item was. The study also looked at whether the kits reduced caregiver stress and helped families feel safer in the community. Results will guide the development of a larger program to prevent elopement.
