First seen Mar 05, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study tested two treatments for people with lumbar spinal stenosis (a narrowing in the spine that causes leg pain and trouble walking) who did not get better with usual care like physical therapy or medication. Thirty adults received either a newer nerve block (erector spinae plane block) or a standard steroid injection into the lower back. The goal was to see which method better reduces pain, improves daily function, and helps walking ability. Results will help doctors choose the best option for patients.
