New pain block could cut morphine use after laparoscopic surgery

Summary

This study tests whether a specific nerve block (erector spinae plane block) can reduce pain and the need for morphine after laparoscopic abdominal surgery. About 50 adults will receive the block or standard care. The main goal is to see how long it takes before they need extra pain medicine.
