Summary

This study looked at whether a special nerve block, called an erector spinae plane block, can reduce pain after breast cancer surgery that includes implant reconstruction. 100 patients scheduled for this surgery were randomly assigned to receive the nerve block or not. The main goal was to measure pain levels 6 hours after surgery using a simple 0-10 scale. The study also checked overall recovery quality using a detailed questionnaire.
