PET scans reveal hidden differences in breast cancer survival
NCT ID NCT07316439
First seen Jan 08, 2026 · Last updated May 07, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study looked at two groups of people with advanced breast cancer: those whose tumors stopped responding to estrogen (ER loss) and those with triple-negative breast cancer. Researchers used a special PET scan to track these changes and compared how long each group lived without the cancer getting worse. The goal was to better understand how changes in hormone receptors affect survival.
