This study aimed to see if asking daily smokers to vividly imagine positive future events could change how they react to losses and reduce their cigarette smoking. Researchers planned to measure loss aversion with a gambling task and smoking behavior in a lab session. The study was withdrawn before enrolling any participants, so no results are available.
