New pill tested to tame sickle cell crisis

Summary

This study is testing a new oral medication called epeleuton in adults with sickle cell disease. The main goals are to see how the drug moves through the body, how safe it is, and if it can help control the disease by reducing markers of inflammation and pain crises. About 30 participants will take the drug for 16 weeks.
