New drug combo aims to boost lymphoma treatment

NCT ID NCT07097363

First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This phase 2 trial tests whether adding epcoritamab, a bispecific antibody that helps the immune system attack cancer cells, to standard chemotherapy (EPOCH-R) is safe and effective for aggressive B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma. About 18 patients with hard-to-treat forms of the disease will receive the combination. The study will monitor side effects and how well the cancer responds.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance

epcoritamab (a bispecific antibody) plus chemotherapy (EPOCH-R)

What this could lead to

If successful, this combination could offer a more effective upfront treatment for aggressive B-cell lymphomas that don't respond well to standard therapy.

What could go wrong

This is a small, early-phase pilot study with only 18 participants. Side effects from adding a new drug to chemotherapy are unknown, and results may not apply to all patients.
